Back in 2008, I made this track with the intent of signing it to the newly formed Cold Busted label. At the time, they were just starting to carve out their identity as a home for funky, sample-driven beats, and 80s Vibes was my contribution to that sound.
For one reason or another, it never ended up on their roster, and the tune stayed tucked away in my archives.
Listening now, it feels like a snapshot of that moment — dusty grooves, neon-lit nostalgia, and the energy of an era when independent labels were finding new ways to share timeless beats. Fifteen-plus years later, it finally sees daylight as part of this series.
A little “what if” from the vaults, now brought full circle.
