For me, DJing an ecstatic dance isn’t just about beatmatching—it’s about soul-matching. It’s about feeling the collective energy and guiding it through a transformational arc: grounding, rising, peaking, and returning. It’s ritual. It’s celebration. It’s storytelling through sound.
As a lifelong #GenreSlut (with love), I don’t limit myself to any one style. Whether it’s global bass, tribal techno, deep house, afro downtempo, dub, or ecstatic electronica, I lean hard into a theme. I love crafting a cohesive sonic experience that evokes a mood, a memory, a movement.
In my Ecstatic Dance Elements series, each mix explores a different elemental force—Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether—not just through symbolism, but through rhythm, texture, and tempo. Fire scorches with polyrhythmic heat. Water flows and expands with meditative grace. Air lifts and spirals. Earth grounds and deepens. Ether opens and connects—holding space for the unseen, the intuitive, and the sacred pulse that moves through it all. Every track is chosen for its emotional and energetic weight.
My most recent set, recorded live at the Summer Solstice Celebration – Mind, Body, Soul Night, tapped into a deep, primal, tribal groove. It pulsed with ancestral rhythms and modern movement—designed to wake up the body and open the heart. That night reminded me: this is the work I want to do more of.
