This mix was recorded live in 2004 at the annual ragga jungle showcase known as Asphalt Jungle in Montreal. The crowd was so rowdy that they kept coming up to the decks and pulling their own rewinds. This mix was cut short because one of the rewinds broke our last needle. It was about 10 in the morning by this point.
The original recording of this mix contains a portion where the crowd is booing Marcus Visionary because he chose to DJ in Toronto that night at a liquid dnb night called Sex in the City rather than honour his booking with Cognitive Vibe. No disrespect intended to Marcus, who is a Toronto don, but come on man, you didn’t even call. It’s all good though because this party was slamming with DJs, KGBkid, Saigon, Sixteen Armed Jack, Alor, Krinjah, Rcola, and Mayday throwing down proper ragga jungle all night long with a beautiful mid-party reggae set by Kali and Dub.
