Tiga James Sontag, known simply as Tiga, is a Canadian musician, DJ, music programmer, and record producer. He has released three albums: Sexor, Ciao!, and No Fantasy Required. The former won the 2007 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year.
In 1990 Tiga and a few friends started throwing small parties and street promotions in Montreal that evolved into a cult following. Having bought DNA records in 1994, the nightclub SONA was then conceived in Montreal in 1996, with Tiga having a major role to play in the creation of the dance scene at the time. SONA was accomplice‘s go to place to party from 1997 until it closed its doors in 2004.
