Back in 2004, I was deep into experimenting with samples, textures, and the energy of clash culture. Having a Roni pulls from two very different worlds: Vanilla Ice’s Havin’ a Roni (1989) and a Bodyguard vs Waggy Tee soundclash from 1992.
The result is something playful and raw, an unapologetic mash of pop absurdity and sound system intensity. Equal parts tongue-in-cheek and heavy in spirit, it’s the kind of track that could only come from a moment when boundaries felt less rigid.
